IPMAT (IIM INDORE) 2021


Exam Analysis

IIM Indore conducted the IPMAT 2021 on July 16, 2021 for admissions into its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).
Due to the Covid-pandemic, there was a change in the structure. The exam time was reduced to 90 minutes from 120 minutes, with a sectional time limit of 30 minutes respectively for the three sections i.e. Quantitative Ability (MCQ) having a total of 20 questions; Quantitative Ability (Short Answers) having a total of 10 questions, and Verbal Ability (MCQ) having a total of 30 questions.
For every correct attempt, a student would fetch 4 marks, while a penalty of 1 mark was awarded for every wrong attempt. There was no negative marking for the Short Answer type questions of the Quantitative Ability section.

QUANTITATIVE ABILITY (SA)

QUANTITATIVE ABILITY (MCQ)

The level of the questions for this section would be considered as difficult, even though there were very limited questions on higher math, and a score of 45 and above would be considered a good score for this section. The set of data interpretation had two difficult questions while the other three were logical and based on inference. VERBAL ABILITY (MCQ)

The level of the questions for this section would be considered as easy to moderate and a score of 85 and above would be considered a good score for this section. A student could have easily attempted more than 25 questions within the given time frame. There was only one passage, length being a little lengthy, with 6 questions but was not difficult.
